Complete the Pandemonium quest starting in Port Sarim. This will teach the player about the skill and give a raft as a reward.

While sailing, be aware of ocean encounters (described below) to gain additional passive experience.

Check out the notice board and complete courier tasks between Port Sarim and The Pandemonium to get some early experience.

At level 7, you can complete two tasks at a time.

At level 10, you can expand your courier tasks to include Musa Point as well.

Level 12: Complete Prying Times to obtain the crowbar for sea charting.

Level 15: Buy the Skiff, a bigger boat that can be equipped with a salvaging hook to start with shipwreck salvaging.

Level 22: Complete Current Affairs to obtain the current duck for sea charting.

Start focusing on sea charting (described below).

Level 30: Unlocks Barracuda Trials, which are unique Sailing training obstacle courses. These offer much more experience compared to courier tasks.

Level 31 offers the teak hull, boosting your boat’s base speed making trials easier.

Level 38: Unlocks the mermaid guide tasks. At this point, you can finish charting both the Ardent and Sunset oceans for their experience bonus.

Level 45: Complete Troubled Tortugans, then chart the Unquiet Ocean (requires level 47 to land on The Onyx Crest).

Courier tasks from The Summer Shore are now the highest experience option until Level 55 (see below).

Level 55: Unlocks the teleport focus facility to summon your boat to any dock.

Sea charting is a method of training Sailing by performing specific tasks across Gielinor’s oceans with specific tools. Sea charting tasks can be discovered and tracked via the Captain’s log which is given during the Pandemonium quest. Completing these tasks rewards the player with one-off experience rewards, with bonus experience for completing all the sea charting tasks in a given area. Alongside this, players can claim additional experience from Chartin’ Charles McAtless alongside the bonus experience from completing specific task sets.

Players are recommended to start their Sailing training via charting as it provides better experience than courier tasks. Sea charting at level 22 can provide around 10,000 experience per hour, the majority of which comes from completing regions – thus a spyglass and current duck are highly recommended after completing Current Affairs. If the player focuses on sea charting, stopping only to do the quests as soon as possible, one can get level 45 for Troubled Tortugans without other training methods.

Fully charting an area unlocks rapids within that area to make you faster (usable with an iron helm or higher). In order to complete all of the tasks in all oceans, players must have 78 Sailing (not boostable). The player should keep their starting raft, as a few of the tasks require it to get to areas that skiffs and sloops cannot reach.

Ocean Encounters

While sailing, you can earn passive experience interacting with random events in the ocean. These have no level requirements.

Sail through mysterious glows repeatedly.

Sail through strong winds then trim your sails repeatedly.

Rescue castaways and bring them to a dock.

Talk to Ocean Man for a cocktail.

Sacrifice an alchable item to giant clams for a pearl.

Retrieve lost goods.

Retrieve clue turtles.

A player sails across a whirlpool for additional speed in The Tempor Tantrum trial.

Barracuda Trials offer the fastest experience from level 30 onwards. There are three trials – The Tempor Tantrum unlocked at level 30, The Jubbly Jive unlocked at level 55, and The Gwenith Glide unlocked at level 72.

Gameplay involves navigating obstacle courses at sea in which players must satisfy two requirements; one unique to the trial and the other collecting lost supplies scattered across the trial grounds. Each trial has three ranks of difficulty (Swordfish, Shark, and Marlin), with increasingly strict time limits and collection requirements. The first completion of each tier awards additional bonus Sailing experience and unlocks the ability to attempt the subsequent tier. Your fastest completion time and achieved ranks are tracked by the scoreboard.

Courier tasks

Courier tasks involve taking one or more pieces of cargo between different ports. Once a courier task has been accepted, the player will need both hands free to collect cargo from the ledger table at the pickup location and place it into their cargo hold aboard their boat. Depositing the cargo at the destination’s ledger table rewards the player with Sailing experience and items useful for shipbuilding such as logs, nails, and gems.

In general, more experience is rewarded for longer distance travelled between ports to pick up and drop off the cargo; because of this, accepting tasks that start elsewhere and then teleporting to that location can increase experience per hour. Players can accept multiple tasks at once at higher levels.

46-55 Summer Shore

With the completion of Troubled Tortugans, players can deliver supplies to The Summer Shore.

This method results in ~30,000 experience per hour. On average, a delivery will grant about 3,000-5,000 xp and with decent focus a player can complete ~9 trips per hour.

Method

Start at the The Great Conch port

Check notice board for any of these tasks: Musa Point/Port Sarim/Pandemonium -> The Summer Shore

Charter ship to Pandemonium, check for tasks from Pandemonium -> The Summer Shore

Charter ship to Musa Point/Port Sarim, based on what port The Summer Shore task had

Recover your boat

Pick up cargo, sail to Pandemonium (if task), then deliver all 3 task cargos to The Summer Shore

Note: At level 48 you can supplement with Ruins of Unkah tasks from sarim/musa if unlucky. At level 56, Unkah to summer shore becomes available.

Recommended Items

Crewmates with the best available deckhandiness

Skiff

Oak Sails

20,000 Coins to start. Rewards from cargo deliveries cover most of the cost of boat recovery after first run

62-70 Rellekka

This method results in 55,000-75,000 Sailing experience per hour.

XP per hour is dependent on what tasks are available. Around 60k xp/h is expected at level 62 with only Rellekka unlocked, and up to 75k xp/h can be achieved after level 65 after unlocking Etceteria.

Method

Start at the Rellekka port

Check notice board for any of these tasks: Aldarin/Sunset Coast/Port Roberts -> Rellekka

Prioritise Aldarin/Sunset Coast to Rellekka if it’s there, this gives the most experience for this method. If Aldarin/Sunset Coast to Rellekka isn’t there, make sure to always save a task slot for when you check Aldarin’s notice board in step 4 below

Sail to Etceteria (if lv 65+ otherwise continue to step 3)

Check the notice board for any of the same tasks as Rellekka (Aldarin, Sunset Coast, Port Roberts)

Use the Quetzal Network to get to the sunset coast

Summon to this port (confirm that the boat cargo is empty otherwise anything stored inside will be deleted)

Load the boat with anything being picked up at Sunset coast

Sail the boat across the bay to Aldarin

Check the notice board for any of these tasks: Aldarin > Rellekka, Aldarin -> Etceteria, Aldarin -> Port Roberts, Aldarin -> Port Piscarilius

Fill up any remaining task slots with any ports along the Varlamore / Zeah coast (including Port Roberts)

Sail up the coast of Varlamore / Zeah turning in cargo, try and get more tasks from the notice boards as long as it’s on the same route to Relleka/Etceteria

Once your last cargo is turned in Relleka/Etceteria, go back to step 1

Recommended Items

Crewmates with the best available deckhandiness

A quetzal whistle for quick access to sunset coast.

An Enchanted lyre or Fremennik sea boots or other means to get to Rellekka easily.

A teleport focus facility on your boat and Earth, Water, and Law runes for the Summon Boat spell

70-72 Prifddinas

This method results in 65,000-70,000 Sailing experience per hour.

Method

Start at the Prifddinas port

Check notice board for any of these tasks: Aldarin/Port Tyras/Deepfin Point > Prifddinas

Prioritise Aldarin to Prifddinas if it’s there, this gives the most experience for this method. If Aldarin to Prifddinas isn’t there, make sure to always save a task slot for when you check Aldarin’s notice board in step 4 below

Recommended Items

Crewmates with the best available deckhandiness

Coins and a Ring of Charos for cheaper charter rides

Sailor’s Amulet for Deepfin Point teleport

An Aldarin Teleport method

76+ Lunar Isle

This method focuses on getting as many round trip tasks from Lunar Isle as possible and then filling up remaining tasks as you sail to Lunar Isle.
Check the notice board at your starting port for any one-way tasks to fill any remaining task slots.

Summon your boat to you and start making your way to ports. As you turn in cargo, try and get more tasks from the notice boards to maximize experience

Once your last cargo is turned in at Lunar Isle, go back to step 1

Tips

If you have a crewmate piloting the ship, prepare cargo that you want to deposit as you’re sailing to your destination so you can easily disembark.

Only sail to the Civitas illa Fortis and Port Piscarilius ports if you have a one-way task to drop off there. If you’re at a point in your journey where you need to fill up task slots, it’s best to prioritize checking ports on your way to Lunar Isle like Port Roberts, Port Tyras, and Prifddinas rather that adding extra distance for little experience.

If you’re full on tasks and sailing from Prifddinas to Lunar Isle, you can sail through the black portal in the Gwenith Glide trial to get you closer to Lunar Isle.

Bounty tasks

Bounty tasks are unlocked at level 30 Sailing. Bounty tasks assign players with a specific seafaring monster to kill in hopes of collecting a specific item as a drop (similar to Hunters’ Rumours). This is a middle ground method between salvage and trials, ideal for players who want to put some effort but not too much.

It’s possible to take multiple bounty tasks at the same time for the same enemy. For instance, each enemy has more than 1 potential item that it drops for a bounty, and as such it is possible to get two tasks for one single monster, vastly improving experience rates as it kills two birds with one stone. Pick the highest leveled ports, ideally ones with a shared monster so this can be achieved. Pick all bird and ray tasks; for sharks, pick bull or hammerhead, and avoid all kraken tasks. Kraken are far too tedious to kill compared to other monsters of their level. Bounties are not correlated to the location (despite the description of the task saying so); once the task is accepted, all monsters of that type can drop it regardless of their location. Likewise, they can all be turned in at one port master regardless of where the assignment came from.

With proper cycling of tasks from Prifddinas and another choice (such as Rellekka), players can get very high experience rates from killing low-leveled monsters, upwards of 130,000 experience per hour or even up towards 200,000 with best-in-slot ship equipment. If double tasks are not possible, try to pick fairly easy tasks. Another option is to quickly cycle your notice board tasks. This can be accomplished by completing (roughly) 8 tasks of any variety. An extremely quick way to cycle the task list is to take courier tasks between Aldarin and Sunset coast. This is the shortest route in the game, taking around 30 seconds each way and awarding around 500xp. Using this method, tasks can be cycled in around 5 minutes, making it a good option for players who wish to hunt certain tasks –similar to Turael skipping for slayer.

The tasks offered depend on the location of the notice board. For optimal rates after 40+, try to focus on bird and ray tasks as these are quick to kill and deal little damage. Bounty tasks should not be done between 55-66 Sailing as the tasks offered at this threshold are generally not worth the effort. When 67 Sailing is reached, players should go to Deepfin Point for bounties, as they assign birds, rays and low level sharks while providing competitive experience. Kraken tasks will begin to be offered 55, although they are not too common at a board. Nonetheless, krakens should be avoided by players seeking maximum experience rates, as they take much longer to kill.

Because sea monsters take less damage from sources not from a ship cannon, players are recommended to use the ship cannon until they get their crewmate prepared, as it will deal more damage compared to other weapons despite its attack speed of 5. Crewmates can man a cannon but will deal less damage than the player themselves, and the cannons they can use depend on their privateering level. Having at least a steel cannon will help the crewmate immensely, despite them dealing less damage than a player would. Only build a mithril cannon once Oarswoman Olga is recruited, as all crewmates before her are unable to use it. Most seas outside of the starting area are multicombat. When handling easy tasks, the Hunters’ sunlight crossbow is recommended due to its 3-tick speed and the monsters’ low defence values. Magic should only be used for kraken tasks (if completing these at all) as they have negative magic bonuses despite their high Magic level and they are much more resistant to ranged than other monsters.

Completion of Song of the Elves is highly recommended, as this unlocks two additional notice boards at Port Tyras and Prifddinas respectively. These boards have shared tasks of hammerhead sharks, manta rays and pygmy krakens. If krakens are not desirable, the Priffdinas board can be combined with Deepfin Point’s osprey tasks, ensuring the most amount of double tasks on easy monsters. The level 75+ bounties begin assigning much more difficult and stronger monsters such as great white sharks, orcas, armoured and vampyre krakens, which are much more difficult to kill and only provide marginally higher experience that is generally not worth the effort.

Salvaging is a low-intensity gathering activity which involves sailing to sunken shipwrecks across the ocean and using a salvaging hook to collect resources from them. This can be started at level 15 Sailing, and becomes much faster at level 42 Sailing after unlocking the salvaging station schematic found on Chinchompa Island.

A crewmate with sufficient deckhandiness can operate a salvaging hook – with any salvage they acquire awarding reduced experience between 10%–40% of the normal experience relative to their deckhandiness level. Cabin Boy Jenkins (level 60 Sailing) and Jolly Jim (level 85 Sailing) both have the maximum deckhandiness of 4; Jobless Jim (level 40 Sailing) and Ex-Captain Siad (level 50 Sailing) both have a deckhandiness of 3. Crewmates will stop harvesting when there are no wrecks to salvage from, and will automatically resume when one is in range, unlike the player who will stop when all nearby shipwrecks are depleted.

Having one available crewmember per salvaging hook can be useful when taking time to clean up whenever inventory/storage becomes full from salvage: an idling crewmate can be assigned to the hook the player normally operates until the player finishes cleaning up. This can also be used as an AFK training method, requiring very little interaction but providing low experience per hour (starting at 200–210 large salvage awarding 7500–8000 experience per hour at level 55 Sailing with two crewmates, assuming the player sorts all salvage occasionally).

All shipwrecks in a given area share a spawn pool; in a typical area, there will be 6 possible shipwreck locations and up to 4 of them can be active at a time. Picking a high-population world can improve experience rates as it means more distant shipwrecks will be touched by other players, thus allowing shipwrecks near your boat to respawn faster and requiring less movement. In general, larger shipwrecks allow for longer idle time and improved experience rates.

If boosting Sailing level to salvage from shipwrecks, players are recommended to bring the best prayer-boosting gear they can obtain to utilise Preserve. For longer trips, a Prayer regeneration potion will allow players to stay for up to 5 hours before needing to leave. Crew can also salvage based on a player’s boosted Sailing level, but the level must be maintained or they will stop salvaging.

Tick manipulation is possible with salvaging hooks, though this largely defeats the benefit of being low-intensity since the Barracuda Trials offer faster experience per hour.[confirmation needed]

Experience rate estimates

These examples include time spent moving from wreck to wreck while salvaging, and from salvaging station to cargo hold while sorting, but not time spent sailing from wreck to port. Rates assume one crewmember of deckhandiness 4 and the player actively salvaging. These rates may be further increased by using the crystal extractor for up to an additional 14,286 experience per hour.

Deep sea trawling is a hybrid Fishing and Sailing activity, where players fish at trawling shoals using their boat’s trawling nets.

The first step to deep sea trawling is to track down a shoal of fish. Trawling shoals are found in places indicated by an icon on the world map. Optionally, players can also use a fathom stone or fathom pearl facility. The stone gives a general direction, whereas the pearl gives a hint arrow directly over the shoal.

Optionally, after tracking down a shoal, players can spread simple, or fine fish offcuts from a chum station or advanced chum station facility. This increases catch effectiveness and the rate at which shoals disperse.

The next step is to sail the ship over a shoal and deploy a trawling net while keeping the ship aligned with the shoal as it moves.

A good crewmate strategy is to have one crewmate at the helm of the boat while the player and another crewmate operate the two trawling nets. When less than three crewmates are assigned to a boat and a chum station or advanced chum station needs to be used, move the crewmate from the helm to the chum station to bait the shoal, then back to the helm. Use the Navigation interface to command the crewmate to avoid interrupting the player’s operation of the trawling net.

If keeping caught fish, consider using fish crates to extend trawling trips. Each crate can store 10 raw deep-sea fish, which greatly increases the number of fish a cargo hold can store.

Ship combat involves players using their ship’s cannons to engage in combat with various sea creatures found throughout the oceans and seas of Gielinor. To engage in combat with a sea monster, the cannon itself must be facing the monster. Upon engaging in combat, the player’s hitpoints are replaced with the health of the ship or raft. Ship combat provides very little experience, far less than most other content but often makes up for it as a supplement when doing bounty tasks.

Players can repair their rafts/boats with repair kits, restoring some or all of the raft or boat’s health during combat. However, if the raft or boat loses its entire health, it will sink and the player(s) and crewmate(s) will be teleported to their set respawn dock point.

Players receive Ranged and Sailing experience, depending on the amount of damage dealt to the monster: 4 Ranged experience per damage plus 1 Sailing experience per damage. Some rough expectations:

Iron cannon with iron cannonballs: 4000–5000 Sailing experience per hour.

Crystal extractor

A crystal extractor can be built in a facility spot on your boat at 73 Sailing and 67 Construction. Its purpose is to generate wind motes for a wind catcher or gale catcher, which is useful for high level Barracuda Trials.

Harvesting the extractor grants 250 Sailing experience. The extractor can be harvested roughly every 63 seconds (60 seconds to generate a mote plus a few seconds to use it). Using it as often as possible offers 15,000 Sailing experience per hour, with 10,000 being more realistic (used every 90 seconds).

This experience can be gained on top of other training methods, such as while charting, salvaging, trawling, barracuda trials, or simply moving around the world.

If a crystal extractor is placed in the spot to the right of the helm on a skiff, it can be activated without the player exiting the helm, allowing it to be done during sailing. On a sloop the extractor must be placed above and to the left of the helm instead, for the same purpose. However, if using a sloop primarily for salvaging, it is recommended to instead place the extractor next to the salvaging hook the player primarily uses.

It is recommended to equip pieces of the prospector kit when collecting washed ore from the operator, as the outfit will increase the received experience. It has minimal impact on the experience gained when excavating whilst graceful provides weight reduction. With a high agility level, wearing a mix of prospector and weight reducing gear is enough to sustain run energy.

Patterns

The following patterns are offered in order of efficiency, measured by the rate of mining blasted ore.

It is recommended to collect washed ore from the operator only when the sack is full, at the end of your trip, or to improve future ore quality by increasing one’s Mining level.

When following these patterns, note that your character can move before the deposit animation is complete, reducing the time it takes to deposit.

This article is a guide to Tithe Farm. Always remember to include a spade, a seed dibber (or completed Bare-handed planting), and enough filled watering cans in your inventory.

If you are new to the minigame, it might be worthwhile to try a few rounds with fewer plants (for example, 8 per run) until you have gotten some practice.

There are three different seed types that each require a certain Farming level to plant:

Golovanova seeds at 34 Farming

Bologano seeds at 54 Farming

Logavano seeds at 74 Farming

Basic strategy

Requires 8+ filled watering can or Gricoller’s can, a spade, and a seed dibber (or partial completion of the Farming portion of the Barbarian Training miniquest).

Starting off

Take from the table seeds for your level (up to 10,000).

Enter through the door.

Drop Gricoller’s fertiliser (using this item makes this type of run undoable).

If not already, fill your 8 watering cans.

Head to the starting location depicted in the image.

A strategy for planting 20 seeds. If 20 is tedious, players can cut off at 16.

Performing a run

The basic strategy uses the plant layout and order in the image to the right (you do not need to use these specific patches, just any five in this pattern).

Plant and water on the first round.

After reaching plant 20, start back at 1 and water each plant.

Repeat watering (alternate watering cans to skip animation).

Harvest.

Deposit the fruits and refill the watering cans.

Repeat from step 1.

Before leaving, try to deposit 100 fruits into the sack; 2 bonus points are awarded for every 100 fruits deposited. When you exit the minigame, the number of fruits deposited resets. Logging out does not reset the count but will clear every plant from the farm.

When planting seeds or watering plants, you do not need to wait for the animation to finish. You can cut the time spent doing a run by almost half if you do this, making it key to managing 20 plants at once. It can take some practice to master, but as a starting point, the watering animation “finishes” as soon as the ground appears soaked, allowing you to water the next spot.

To grow more than 20 plants per run, or to replant faster, see the “Advanced strategies” section below.

Tips

A “zig-zag” strategy for planting 20 seeds. Cast Humidify after harvesting the last plant.

If you find yourself struggling to water the plants at the start, it is possible to still do a 20 crop run by planting 2 seeds across and then watering. This makes the timing much less precise compared to planting and then watering, allowing for a more relaxed gameplay without drawbacks.

The Humidify spell from the Lunar spellbook allows for much faster refilling of watering cans. (This requires completion of the Dream Mentor quest.) You can end the spell’s animation early by using a watering can on a plant.

It is a good idea to have your camera rotated to be as far above you as possible, as this makes it easier to plant seeds and water plants in adjacent spots. If you use the RuneLite client, enable “Expand pitch limit” in the Camera plugin settings to allow the camera to be directly overhead.

If using the Farmer’s outfit, you only need to equip it when harvesting the plants or depositing the fruit. At all other times, the weight-reducing clothing may be worn if desired. The extra experience from harvesting the fruit is very minimal (under 200 experience per hour). However, the extra experience from depositing the fruit in the sack is well worth changing outfits for.

If you purchase Gricoller’s can, which only needs refilling every 333 plants, you can omit the 8 watering cans and reduce your weight by several units, which may be useful for players who find themselves low on run energy.

Gricoller’s fertiliser strategy

Requires 4 filled watering can or Gricoller’s can, a spade.

There are two benefits to using Gricoller’s fertiliser. The first is that it results in a much shorter period of game time between planting and harvesting. The basic strategy approach requires at least 3 minutes of constant play time before harvesting. Gricoller’s fertiliser can result in a < 2 minute play time to harvest. It’s fairly easy to plant 10 plants with the fertiliser, resulting in a fairly easy playstyle that is only somewhat slower than the basic method.

The second benefit is that the run energy depletion is much lower, which may be relevant to those with particularly low agility levels. Only 4 watering cans are necessary with the fertiliser. Planting only 10 at a time means the majority of the run will be spent walking. Using the Farmer’s outfit is a great alternative for this method, as this method is generally slower than the basic strategy. The overall experience difference between this strategy and the basic strategy is around a 20–30% slower XP/hr rate.

Plant 10 seeds as shown in the image to the right. Only plant during the first round, then water and fertilise (it is fastest in that order). After the second round, the player just needs to continue watering in the order of the image until harvest.

During the harvest run, it’s possible to plant the next round. This requires more focus than harvesting separately from planting. But, if done correctly, this can raise the XP/hr close to the basic strategy, although again, this is likely a slower overall strategy by about 10%.

Advanced strategies

These are click-intensive strategies which require a bit of practice and a stable internet connection.

Two methods are important for these strategies:

When planting seeds at the start, you can manually use the watering can on plants instead of left-clicking the new plant. Manually watering each plant will skip the seed dibber animation, saving 1 tick per plant. There’s a very small time window to skip the animation, so water quickly after planting. If done perfectly, this will save 15s for a 25×4 run or 12s for a 20×5 combo run.

Use an efficient movement route and make small movements before tending to each plant. Click the ground and plant or water after your character is heading to the right tile. Tile markers are helpful, but not necessary. See below for several routes.

Combo method

This strategy combines harvesting and replanting into one route by harvesting your plant, then replanting and watering that plant before harvesting the next plant (we will call this a combo route). To accomplish this, you must save many game ticks throughout your actions during the minigame. There is room for error, but it requires more clicking than the basic strategy.

Since each plant spans three squares, and the player moves two squares per tick while running, if you are able to click to move one square diagonally before you action the next plant without losing any ticks, you save time walking north/south to your next plant on that row, as it becomes only two squares away from you instead of three. This, combined with the time saved by casting Humidify while running to the first plant again (only do this right before you start on your combo route), will give you enough leeway to harvest, replant, and water each plant, saving you the time of running one whole route again between each harvest and replant.

For the final row (plants 17–20), it can save you two extra game ticks per route if you run four squares at least two times while running to the next plant, as it consumes the same amount of time as running three squares.

To practice this strategy, it is more than possible to use the general strategy by doing separate harvest and replant routes. If you apply the techniques used in this strategy to the normal strategy, you will find you can eventually start “catching up” to the plants you have previously watered. This can be an indication of how fast you are making your routes.

Generally speaking, you should always be forced to wait on the final couple of plants to grow before you can water them and move on (this only applies to watering routes after your first combo route, as a combo route takes more time to complete than the initial planting route). If your 11th or less plant has just grown as you begin making your way from the 20th plant back to the first, then you are able to combine your next replant and harvest routes. When you make your initial planting route, you spend less time at each plant than you do during the combo routes, so the initial plant and water may seem more click-intensive than the combo routes, but you have much more room for error.

This method has a round trip of 19 minutes and 30 seconds. Providing no plants die, this grants 107 points per hour and the following experience rates per hour:

The Humidify spell (or Gricoller’s can) can help save time. Occasionally, players may also wish to restore run energy through use of super energy, stamina potion or even just an Explorer’s ring if utilising methods with little downtime.

Fully grown plants don’t decay, so you can also refill watering cans before the harvesting phase if you don’t have access to Humidify.

25×4 method

Tithe Farm 25×4 method route.

The 25×4 method uses the time saved from efficient movement to do four rounds of 25 seeds instead of the usual five rounds of 20 seeds. Manual watering and efficient movement routes are used, but it does not combine harvesting and replanting as in the combo method.

Bring 10 watering cans to be able to do the full run without refilling, as the 25×4 route is too dense to allow easily casting Humidify mid-run.

Planting 25 seeds without having any plants die requires using both the diagonal movement technique and the seed dibber animation skip. Executing this without major mistakes leaves 10 to 15 seconds of leeway before the first plants start to die. Common mistakes include not manually watering the new seed fast enough to skip the seed dibber animation, being slow to plant a new seed after a small movement, and accidentally using a seed on an existing patch.

Both the 25×4 method and the combo route method allow players to grow 100 fruit in 16 full runs of their respective routes, that is, runs to plant, water, and harvest. The main difference is in the margin of error, which is already small on the combo strategy but is even less forgiving in the 25×4 run. The player is never standing and waiting on plants to grow with the 25×4 method, whereas the combo route method always involves waiting a few seconds for the 20th plant to grow.

With near-perfect performance using Logavano fruit, this method allows the player to gain up to 115k experience/hr. It takes about 19 minutes to gain 100 fruit, leading to 110 points gained per hour. If no mistakes are made, the two methods are almost identical in terms of speed.

This method offers an edge in earning rates through its capacity to “overlap” runs. If the plants are being harvested with flawless performance, the player may recognise they have time to spare in the harvest run and may decide to harvest and immediately re-plant and water the last few patches, akin to the tick-perfect method, effectively shifting the starting point of the route. Using this method to overlap up to 16 plants can save 1 minute per full run, improving experience and point rates by up to 5%.

24x method

With the removal of the 100-seed limit, some of the spare time left at the end of a 20×5 non-combo run can be used to efficiently farm up to four additional plants while leaving more room for error than 25 plants. Since the movement is the same but simply skips the single-plant patch at the end, this method can be used to practice for the 25×4 method.

24x Combo method

Tithe Farm 24x Combo route.

With near perfect execution of manually watering seeds after they’ve been planted and through efficient pathing, it is possible to run a combo route of up to 24 plants. The path is similar to that of the alternative 25×4 method, only starting at the north end of the centre field and simply skipping one of the plots. This method requires extreme precision and focus, as the route only leaves a few seconds before plants start dying and a single mistake can be enough to miss the timing. As such, it is only recommended for those with a good amount of experience with the 25×4 route and manually watering seeds, as well as a good internet connection. One cycle of planting/harvest 24 plants takes approximately 4 minutes and 10 seconds with run energy restoration and Gricoller’s can, giving roughly 14.4 runs per hour for 345 fruit/120 points. This route also significantly reduces run energy usage, as one less lap of the fields is needed to harvest, and may be useful ironmen/accounts without easy access to run regeneration. This route works best when used in long sessions, as the 24 fruit yield does not cleanly add up to 100 for the bonus fruit and the route is hindered slightly by the initial setup/final harvest runs.

To begin, simply plant/water the field with 25 plants, then either harvest the empty plot as indicated or leave fully grown and harvest at the end of a growth cycle. Afterwards, follow the steps below:

Starting at the SOUTHERN END of plot 1, harvest the previous plant, plant the seed, and manually water the seedling as soon as possible. Note that starting on the southern end of plot one will move you to the southern end of tile 2, allowing you to move 2 tile to the location for plot 3.

Move onto the next plant as indicated, and harvest, plant and water. Repeat until all indicated fields are planted.

Following the route as indicated, water all plant EXCEPT FOR PLOT 23 (move directly to Plot 24, this will give more time to complete the cycle, and plot 23 can be watered in the final cycle without any time loss).

Repeat step 3, watering all plants one more time (including plot 23). If you skipped plot 23 in the previous cycle, move to water it before watering plot 4.

After this, all plants should be fully grown and the cycle can be started again from step 1. If you need to refill water cans or restore energy, or simply take a break, do so now as all plants will be fully grown and will not decay.

Note that skipping plot 23 is not strictly necessary, but doing so will only allow for 1 tick to be lost when performing the route before plants will begin to die. When getting used to the run it is recommended to start with fewer plants, simply skipping planting the plot as needed, then slowing adding more until you are comfortable with the route. It is also recommended to harvest plant 2 prior to starting the cycle, as this will give a slight bit (2 ticks) more lenience to allow for mistakes, at a very minimal increase in time per cycle.

An axe is required to chop bruma roots. Players with at least level 46 Woodcutting can use as low as a steel axe and still maintain maximum cut speed.[1][2][3] An inventory space is saved by wielding the axe.

A tinderbox or bruma torch is required to relight the braziers, and an inventory space may be saved by wielding the torch in either hand.

A knife can optionally be used to fletch the roots, yielding modest Fletching experience and more points when added to a brazier, at the cost of lower rate of Firemaking experience.

A hammer is required if the player intends to repair shattered braziers, which grants a fair amount of Construction experience. An Imcando hammer may be wielded in either hand to save an inventory space.

At least 4 pieces of warm clothing. The clue hunter outfit is an option easily obtained by any player. Pieces of the pyromancer outfit are preferred once the player has obtained them, as in addition to being warm clothing, they also offer an experience bonus.

Unfinished potions from the crates can be made into rejuvenation potions to restore warmth or heal the Pyromancers (only required by one or two people per brazier if playing in a large group).

Food is only necessary if not using rejuvenation potions to restore warmth.

Regen bracelet and/or Hitpoints cape for mid to late-game players (optional). Using both of these items in conjunction with four pieces of warm clothing can entirely cancel out the need to restore warmth.

The area safe from the Wintertodt’s attacks.

The Wintertodt has three attacks that can damage the player, as well as two other actions that interfere with defeating it:

Standard attack – All individual players will take periodic damage while outside of the safe area. The damage taken is based on the player’s total Firemaking level, and is drastically reduced while wearing warm clothing to a minimum of around 10-15% of the player’s warmth meter. This damage has a cooldown of 10 ticks (6 seconds). It will interrupt fletching and feeding braziers, but does not interrupt chopping bruma roots.

Area attack – Heavy snow will occasionally appear over a 3×3 area centred on a specific player as a warning, then fall to the ground causing damage to all players currently in the 3×3 area. This can be easily avoided by watching out for the snow and stepping out of the area. If not avoided, it will deal roughly double the damage done by the periodic standard attack. This attack cannot target any player that is standing next to an obstacle, though such a player may fall within the 3×3 range of someone else near them. There are also several spots (notably the ones next to the bruma roots) where a snowfall cannot occur due to not having a 3×3 space available.

Brazier heavy attack – Heavy snow will occasionally appear over a brazier as a warning, then the brazier will shatter. Players standing directly next to a brazier when it shatters will take the same amount of damage as if snow had fallen on them.

Brazier light attack – Light snow will occasionally appear over on a brazier as a warning, then it will extinguish. This does not cause damage.

Pyromancer attack – Light snow will occasionally appear over an individual pyromancer as a warning, then she will take damage. This is not dangerous to other players.

The area shown in the image is safe, and none of the Wintertodt’s attacks will damage the player within this zone. Players cannot fletch here; however, they can make rejuvenation potions.

The frequency of these attacks significantly depends on the Witertodt’s remaining energy. Standard attacks will happen a normal amount at first (100-60% energy), and then occur very rarely near the end of each round (20-0% energy). Brazier and pyromancer attacks will happen very rarely at first (100-80% energy), and then occur a normal amount near the end of each round (40-0% energy). Specifically:

When the Wintertodt attempts to do a standard attack, a random number between zero and the maximum energy of the Wintertodt is picked, which is then compared against its current energy. If the randomly picked number is lower, the attack will proceed, making them more frequent at higher energy levels.[4]

When the Wintertodt attempts to attack one of the braziers or pyromancers, a random number is rolled up to the Wintertodt’s maximum energy, and compared against its remaining energy. If the randomly rolled number is higher, an attack against a brazier or pyromancer goes through, making them more frequent at lower energy levels.

The following formulas can be used to determine the amount of damage taken, rounded down.

Wintertodt’s energy

The Wintertodt’s energy meter is lowered by the pyromancers sending green magic bolts from the braziers toward the storm in the center of the prison. Each pyromancer is capable of weakening the Wintertodt by 1% energy every 14 ticks (8.4s) for a total of 1% every 3.5 ticks (2.1s) on average with all four braziers lit. This would make a game take 3 minutes and 30 seconds if not a single brazier is ever attacked and extinguished (which is nearly impossible). You could equivalently imagine that the Wintertodt is a boss with 700 Hitpoints and each green bolt fired by a pyromancer deals 1 Hitpoint of damage. Fueling the braziers with bruma roots or bruma kindling does not cause the fight to progress any faster.

If all four braziers are allowed to go out, the Wintertodt will restore energy at a rate of 1% every 35 ticks (21s) beginning with a random delay. For example, it could gain 1% energy 2 ticks after the final brazier is extinguished, and then every 35 ticks after that. If at least one brazier is lit, the Wintertodt will not restore any energy.

Each time a brazier is relit or a downed pyromancer is healed, there will be a short random delay (roughly 1-5 seconds) before the pyromancer resumes attacking. An active pyromancer can safely drop to 0 health as long as she is healed on the same tick as she takes the damage; this can roughly double the amount of healing for each dose of rejuvenation potion if timed perfectly. If she is allowed to have 0 health for one or more ticks, there can sometimes be another short random delay (roughly 1-5 seconds) before she resumes attacking.

General efficiency tips

A burning brazier.

No matter what your strategy is, lighting braziers is always worthwhile in both Firemaking xp and points, even if it means interruping root cutting or fletching to run over and light it. Multiple players can repair or light a brazier at once, and all players who begin the animation before the brazier changes state will receive the full xp.

When going for maximum Firemaking experience by feeding bruma roots to the brazier without fletching, taking a rejuvenation potion with you for a quick 75 points per dose healing a pyromancer can be very helpful to make sure you hit the 500 point mark when rounds go fast. Note that unlike fixing braziers, only one player can heal a pyromancer, so you will be competing with others to do so.

While relighting or repairing a brazier takes 4 ticks, other actions can be started before the animation has completed. For example, you can begin repairing the brazier and then click on food to heal during repairing the brazier, or relight the brazier and immediately use a knife on a log to fletch. You can also click to begin moving early on the final tick of repairing or lighting a brazier. The brazier can be repaired or lit during the final tick of movement towards it, so standing 1 square away (or 2 while running) is no less efficient than standing directly next to it. Using both of these tips, the time to light a brazier is effectively cut in half (to 2 ticks) when running from a bruma root and then back again.

You can fletch while running, combine rejuvenation potions while running, or have Brew’ma instantly combine all potions in your inventory at once.

Using tick manipulation you can speed up the first log received from bruma roots: for example, click to run toward the roots from the brazier, then immediately use your knife on some teak logs, then click the roots again and your first log will be instant.

It is preferable to equip four warm items in slots that will not interfere with other useful equips. If available, you should bring any pieces of the pyromancer outfit to increase experience and a bruma torch to replace your tinderbox. You should equip a wieldable axe that will get you closest to maxing out your cut speed on the bruma roots (note that the Infernal axe counts as a warm item and will not use charges on bruma roots). Health regeneration boosts, such as from a regen bracelet or Hitpoints cape, or prayer gear to increase the duration of the Rapid Heal prayer will aid in passive warmth regeneration.

Strategy

During the fight, pay attention to your warmth meter and the area around you, making sure to eat food or drink a rejuvenation potion if your warmth gets too low. The Wintertodt can perform a powerful snowfall attack in a 3×3 area, which deals high damage to your warmth. If snow begins to fall, be sure to avoid the affected area.

Upon entering the Wintertodt lobby, if you did not bring your own food to restore warmth, take one or more rejuvenation potions (unf) from the crates and bruma herbs from the sprouting roots found on the east or west walls of the lobby area. If you have Druidic Ritual complete, combine unfinished potions with the herbs to make rejuvenation potions; otherwise, go to Brew’ma to make them for you. Restock on potions from the lobby or food from the bank chest outside Wintertodt during the respawn timer between games.

Immediately when the Wintertodt’s energy bar turns green at the start of the fight, light one of the braziers with a tinderbox (you can immediately do so when the respawn timer hits 0:00). This will start off the fight with 25 points towards the 500 required. You will also receive Firemaking experience (Firemaking level * 6) which is more efficient than simply chopping more logs. The brazier should be relit immediately any time it is extinguished while you are nearby, as the points and xp are always worthwhile (even if it interrupts cutting or fletching) and an unlit brazier will make the round last longer.

When your inventory is full of roots, either fletch them or begin adding them to the lit braziers. Each root added to a brazier will provide 10 points and some Firemaking experience (Firemaking level * 3).

Fletching the roots into kindling is only recommended for gaining points and not Firemaking experience, because the amount of time it takes to fletch causes it to be slower overall experience. Fletching requires a knife and provides Fletching experience (Fletching level * .6). Adding the kindling provides 25 points and will give 30% more Firemaking experience than roots. The best place to stand while fletching is either hugging the wall right next to the bruma roots (to avoid the 3×3 attack) or 2 squares away from a brazier (so you can react quickly if it is broken or extinguished, while staying out of range from the shrapnel).

Broken braziers are fixed extremely quickly on Wintertodt worlds, so you will have to click on it quickly after it is broken if you want to gain Construction experience. It can then be relit after it is fixed (unless the pyromancer is down, in which case your best option is to heal the pyromancer yourself, run towards another brazier, or fletch while you wait for someone else to heal the pyromancer).

Make sure to gain at least 500 points during each round to be eligible for the reward and experience. The time to subdue on a Wintertodt world averages about 5 minutes, including both the fight and wait time between each round. The waiting time between each round is 60 seconds.

While waiting between rounds, some players may wish to train Agility by hopping back and forth across the pillars. With a flat 18 xp per hop, this would provide 36k Agility xp/hour, but because this method is only allowed during the 1 minute between rounds, the effective rate is 7k Agility xp/hour or less.

World hopping for maximum Firemaking experience

This method allows maximum experience rates to be achieved by taking advantage of the bonus experience awarded for successfully subduing the Wintertodt. After subduing the Wintertodt, world hop to the next available official Wintertodt world with 50% or more energy. (It is possible to achieve the minimum 500 points whilst starting from 40% energy, but not reliably. It is also possible to crash solo games instead of official worlds, but this will result in less xp per hour than playing normally.)

Chop roots as normal, and immediately fix/light the brazier if it is broken or extinguished. Fletch all available roots while standing at the brazier, burn the kindling, and repeat. Bonus experience does not scale based on points, so once you have reached 500 points, use the remaining time to either continue fletching and aim for more points (for additional reward rolls) or just burn roots (for maximum Firemaking experience).

Whilst this method requires more focus, with good world syncing and consistent successful kills, it is possible to achieve up to twice as many kills per hour compared to camping one world. The increased kills per hour and decreased downtime allows for significantly higher experience rates (up to 452k per hour at level 99). Reward rolls per hour are comparable with the solo method below.

These rates are only theoretical, as they are difficult to achieve reliably in practice. Depending on how many players are online, worlds may quickly become out of sync.

Players will gain up to 2,000 Construction experience an hour at level 99 Construction from fixing the brazier, scaling proportionally to player’s Construction level.

A player will need to subdue the Wintertodt around 670 times to achieve 99 Firemaking using bruma kindling (based on a player earning 800 points per kill). Comparatively, a player must subdue the Wintertodt roughly 540 times to achieve 99 Firemaking using bruma roots.

Solo method

As compared to the group method, soloing the Wintertodt typically grants more reward rolls, more Construction xp, and less Firemaking xp per hour. It also requires less attention since action-interrupting standard attacks will occur less frequently, and games last much longer which makes the 500 point reward threshold more forgiving to interruptions such as stepping away from the keyboard for a few minutes. Mass worlds can also be distracting when playing on clients such as mobile that cannot hide other players.

Solo strategies can also be done in duos or small teams, which can improve Firemaking xp efficiency if not fletching, but can reduce points per hour if fletching and healing.

4 warm items should be equipped at all times throughout the fight. In addition, weight-reducing clothing such as camouflage Hunter gear (which also counts as Warm clothing) or pieces of the graceful outfit can significantly increase your efficiency, as the beginning and end of each round typically require lots of running.

Ironman accounts can easily obtain 4 warm items by obtaining the clue hunter boots and gloves, available north of Ardougne near the Fishing Guild, and the rainbow jumper and rainbow scarf, available for free by speaking to Gilbert south-east of Barbarian Village.

Having as many free inventory spaces as possible will reduce the amount of trips needed between the bruma root and brazier. It will also allow you to carry more rejuvenation potions at the beginning of each round, saving trips to restock.

If you need to replace part of a graceful outfit with warm items to hit the 4-item requirement, opt to replace the gloves and hood first as they give the least weight reduction and run energy restoration bonuses. Without the graceful outfit, the beginning of the round (where you take most damage while soloing) may last significantly longer. Thus, you may need to bring more food or rejuvenation potions to solo the Wintertodt with this bare-bones setup.

Any level explorer’s ring is very useful to regain run energy. The ring of endurance can also greatly improve run energy management.

Stacking the effects of the Hitpoints cape and the regen bracelet may reduce the amount of rejuvenation potions you require to up-keep your warmth.

For players who have obtained the Max cape, it is an improvement over the Hitpoints cape as it offers the combined benefits of the Hitpoints cape, Agility cape, Construction cape, and Firemaking cape. With it, your POH can be used instead of Ferox Enclave to restore stats between rounds.

If taking a bruma torch in the off-hand slot, take a hammer or an equivalent item in your inventory. If taking an Imcando hammer in the off-hand slot, take a tinderbox or an equivalent item in your inventory.

Starting a round

There is no need to bring food, as Rejuvenation potions weigh less and heal more per slot than almost all foods. Upon entering the Wintertodt prison, grab some unfinished rejuvenation potions and complete them with the bruma herbs available near the entrance from the crate.

You want to reduce the Wintertodt’s energy from 100% down to 20-30% as quickly as you can – this reduces the passive damage that interrupts activities as well as increases attacks that extinguish the brazier which grants efficient points and xp. Do this by running around the prison, lighting all the braziers. Once all four braziers are lit, begin chopping bruma root to fletch into kindling and feed the brazier. If a brazier is extinguished in this early stage, run to light it again. It is possible to fletch 2-3 kindling while running between two braziers.

Alternatively, once all braziers are lit, players may return to the safe area and wait for the Wintertodt’s energy to deplete, only leaving to relight the two closest southern braziers. Since you are more likely to be damaged by the Wintertodt during this early stage, this method saves some rejuvenation potions. Note that fletching is not allowed in the safe area.

Strategy

With the Wintertodt’s energy reduced, passive damage and area attacks will be far less frequent, while braziers explosions and pyromancer damage will be far more frequent.

Shift your focus to the south-western brazier. Unlike the two eastern braziers, path-finding between the bruma root and either of the two western braziers places you immediately beside the pyromancer, saving a small amount of time when healing them. And unlike the north-western brazier near the slow agility pillars, the south-western brazier is only 10 ticks away from either of the adjacent braziers. The south-western roots are also 10 ticks away from the south-eastern brazier. Repairing or lighting a brazier is 1 tick faster when actively moving towards it, so even if you manually click the tile to pathfind next to the pyromancer, you will lose 1 tick and it is still slower to use the eastern braziers.

For maximizing points, games will last infinite duration:

Focus on running to heal all 4 pyromancers whenever you are fletching, since you can fletch while running (assuming you avoid the agility obstacle). Keeping 6-8 rejuvenation potions on hand is helpful.

If the Wintertodt’s energy is high enough (8-30%), fletch by the brazier, fixing and lighting it as soon as it extinguishes, and heal the pyromancer each time she is damaged. Or for more relaxed play, only fix the brazier while you are actively feeding it, and otherwise enjoy fletching automatically.

Keep in mind that at 30% energy, brazier attacks will happen at 70% of their normal rate and standard attacks that interrupt fletching will happen at 30% of their normal rate; at 10% energy, brazier attacks will happen at 90% of their normal rate (0.3x more often, minor difference) and standard attacks will happen at 10% of their normal rate (3x less often, major difference). This means that keeping the Wintertod’s energy as low as possible will result in both less clicking and more points and xp regardless of your strategy.

If the Wintertodt’s energy gets below around 8%, avoid lighting any brazier as this may end your round prematurely (it is rare, but a single lit brazier can reduce a full 6% or more at the end of the game depending on when it randomly gets extinguished). Instead, use this time to chop and fletch kindling, heal other pyromancers, or create more potions.

For instead maximizing Firemaking experience, games will last 15-20 minutes:

Focus on burning logs and lighting only the south-west brazier as soon as it extinguishes.

To avoid spending time making more potions, you may choose to only heal the pyromancer when she’s been damaged twice. Make sure to heal her on the same tick as she reaches 0 health so her magic is not interrupted. Around six rejuvenation potions is usually enough for a full round of pyromancer healing if conserving them efficiently.

Ending a round

Once you are tired of playing, or when you are close to being forcibly logged out after 6 hours, consider how to end your round. Make sure you’re stocked up on rejuvenation potions, then:

If you are willing to increase your focus and have plenty of run energy, pick any 2 braziers, running between them to keep them lit. If both stay lit, either light a third, chop and burn kindling, or fletch while standing between both braziers so that you may quickly run to one that does extinguish.

If you would rather be patient, just focus on fixing and lighting the south-western brazier as soon as it extinguishes while optionally continuing to chop and burn logs or kindling. This method is also preferable if you are out of run energy.

Players can expect to earn 48 rewards per hour with this strategy. It provides the most possible rewards per hour, up to a theoretical high of 144,000 points in a single 6-hour session before being forcefully logged out.

General considerations

This minigame is most popular for obtaining the Angler’s Outfit, as it is faster and much less click-intensive than obtaining it through Aerial Fishing.

Only 50 contribution points are needed for rewards, including fish and the angler’s outfit.

It could be useful to bring something to do for the remaining time, such as Fletching. Note that High Alch is not allowed during the minigame.

50% of players will acquire the full angler’s outfit within 44 trips; 95% of players will acquire a full angler’s outfit within 100 trips.

At 6.5 minutes each, 100 trips would take 11 hours on mass worlds.

At 7 minutes each, 100 trips would take 12 hours solo.

The chances of obtaining the Heron increase proportionally with contribution points, scaling from 1/5000 to 1/2500 with a full meter.

Wielding an axe and/or Imcando hammer saves up to 2 inventory spaces, which allows holding more rope if repairing nets for multiple trips in a row without banking.

Difficulty fixing leaks due to lag or reaction time can be helped by spam clicking between two adjacent tiles—going left to right—which increases the chance of patching either leak. Even if the leak is fixed before it is reached, as long as the animation happens, it is successful.

Recommended equipment

Weight-reducing equipment such as the graceful outfit could be useful for those with lower agility levels, but it is not required for chopping the kraken or for patching leaks.

A bailing bucket if bailing water (can be obtained from a box on the top deck), or multiple for bailing slightly faster

Multiple rope if repairing torn nets, which are consumed on use (available in the Khazard General Store)

Specific methods

Kraken (for less clicking)

This method involves chopping the Enormous Tentacle (Fishing Trawler) and fixing the broken rail. Each successful chop or fix awards 10 points.

On busy worlds only 1 chop will be possible before the tentacle retreats, so this method takes 2-3 tentacle attacks (around 2 minutes) before 50 contribution points are achieved. The remaining 3 minutes can be spent however you please. Max contribution is unlikely unless playing with a small coordinated group.

Game strategy

When the round starts, climb the west ladder up.

If needed, pick up an axe and hammer from the box on the top deck.

Wait in the aft of the boat (west side).

Chop the tentacle when it appears.

Watch the slap animation and note if it slapped the boat once or twice.

Chop the tentacle again when it stops slapping.

As soon as your character stops chopping, click under the tentacle to fix the Broken Rail.

If it slapped the boat twice, the Broken Rail will break again, allowing you to fix it again.

Run to the other side (north or south). The Tentacle appears on the opposite side each time, approximately 45 seconds from when the previous one appeared.

Repeat until the contribution meter is yellow (50 contribution points) or filled (255 contribution points).

Patching (for faster contribution)

This method involves filling leaks in the hull of the ship. Each patch awards 5 points, up to a maximum of 255. It takes 51 swamp paste to reach 255 points.

On busy worlds each leak will be filled immediately, so this method takes 30-40 seconds before 50 contribution points are achieved. The remaining 4 minutes can be spent however you please. Max contribution will take 2-3 minutes, becoming easier later in the trawl due to fewer players paying attention. 100 trips would require a minimum of 1000 swamp paste, or 5100 if gaining max points. 5100 fixes would also provide 25,500 construction experience, equivalent to level 36.

Game strategy

When the round starts, find a spot along the hull to stand.

Immediately click any leak within 1 tile of you as it appears (you can immediately repair any leak adjacent to you, including diagonally). New leaks spring up every 5 ticks (3 seconds).

If another hole within 1 tile of you is still leaking, fix that one also for faster points.

The fore (far east end) of the ship tends to have less players and can be a good spot to patch a second leak, especially if players agree not to patch the far east leak until after patching a different leak first.

Repeat until the contribution meter is yellow (50 contribution points) or filled (255 contribution points).

Solo (for fun)

This method requires participating in all activities. It is generally not worthwhile as it takes slightly longer to earn an angler outfit (at 7 minutes per trip instead of 6.5 minutes) and is much more effort, but it does provide slightly higher profit and xp per hour.

Unlike on mass worlds, only 1 leak will spring at a time, and the kraken will only attack twice. With efficient play, the risk of sinking is very low. Around 8 rope and 40 swamp paste will be used per trip. Max contribution will always be achieved.

Game strategy

The top priorities should be:

Fixing nets to ensure fish are caught

Chopping kraken

Patching holes

Bailing water
