Main Game Rewards
Let’s talk Leagues V rewards!
Leagues V is coming in November, so it’s about time we got cracking on the rewards! As always, you’ll notice a survey at the end of the newspost, where you can tell us what you think about the reward proposals.
For a full breakdown of how Leagues works and what you can expect in Raging Echoes, check out the reveal blog. In short, Leagues is a temporary game mode where you’ll start as a completely fresh account, locked to Misthalin and Karamja. As you accumulate Points, you’ll be able to unlock up to three additional regions. With the addition of Varlamore to the mix, you may be feeling spoilt for choice – but with our new Enhanced Bosses dropping brand new uniques, there’ll be plenty of powerful upgrades no matter where you venture.
After the League ends, you’ll be able to spend your hard-earned Points on hauntingly cool rewards for your main game save.
Concept artist Mod Jerv has this to say about where their inspiration came from:
Please note: All artwork below is from the concept stage, and is subject to change.
They’re back! Every League brings a new Banner, Home Teleport Animation, and Leagues Outfit, so you can show off your progress wherever you go. You’ll also be able to get your hands on a series of Trophies, depending on where you place in the final ranking.
For Raging Echoes we’ve gone for cool blues and angry reds, with a haunting, blue-eyed mask as a central motif. Brrr!
Raging Echoes Outfit
Fashionscape is first up on our agenda with the Leagues Outfit. As always, each tier of the Raging Echoes Outfit will cost you slightly more points, so as you tick off tasks and progress along your journey, you’ll be able to upgrade your threads to match. You’ll start out with a dormant mask decoration and work your way up to more vibrant blues, a touch of red to your boots and a fancy staff to complete the ensemble.
Should the Raging Echoes Outfit, a cosmetic armour described in the blog, be added to the Leagues Reward Shop? This will consist of three tiers of cosmetic outfits that represent the League.
Raging Echoes Banner
Let everyone know that you did in fact take part in Leagues: Raging Echoes by proudly displaying this themed Banner in the main game! The banner boasts the blue to red ombre effect seen across all the Raging Echoes rewards, with the haunting mask emblazoned on the front and topping the pole.
Should the Raging Echoes Banner, a cosmetic weapon described in the blog, be added to the Leagues Reward Shop?
Raging Echoes Home Teleport Animation
The last of our recurring Leagues rewards is a brand-new Home Teleport animation!
As your rage grows, witness your own echo rise up out of your body and fade into the ether as you disappear into the ground… and reappear at your Home Teleport location.
Should the Raging Echoes Home Teleport Animation, as described in the blog, be added to the Leagues Reward Store?
League Trophy
As with previous Leagues, you’ll be able to work your way up through the ranks from Bronze to Dragon and earn the matching Trophies! We don’t quite have the concepts ready to show for these, but they’ll have the same vibe as the other rewards on offer.
League Trophies can be held in the off-hand slot, except the Adamant, Rune and Dragon tiers, which are so impressive they must be held in two hands. Each one also has a unique emote!
When you’re done flexing, you can pop your Trophies in your Player Owned House Trophy Case for all to see.
We’ve gone for a nice mix of reward types for this iteration of Leagues, including one reward designed by the Old School community!
Venator Bow Ornament Kit
If you read our Summer Summit reveal blog you’ll have caught a sneak preview of this particular reward – we were just too excited to keep it to ourselves!
Through the Leagues Reward Shop, you’ll be able to give your Venator Bow a makeover with this themed Ornament Kit. There’ll be no mistaking your Leagues prowess when you flaunt this deadly weapon in the main game. To top it off, the eyes on the mask glow blue when firing – so you’ll always have your enemies in your sights.
Should the Raging Echoes Venator Bow Ornament Kit, as described in the blog, be added to the Leagues Reward Store?
Ahrim the Blighted’s Equipment Ornament Kit
Nothing says “Raging Echoes” like the Barrows Brothers, and we’re giving our favourite a souped-up gear set for this League.
Cloak yourself in the eerie Raging Echoes aesthetic with a four-piece ensemble, including Ahrim’s Hood, Robetop, Robeskirt and Staff.
Should the Raging Echoes Ahrim’s Ornament Kit, as described in the blog, be added to the Leagues Reward Store?
Death Animation
Death is an inevitable part of your Old School journey – especially if you’re a Hardcore Iron Man – so why not make the moment even more memorable? Death Animation will make you the envy of every battlefield as you watch your own raging echo follow your body and come to terms with your demise, shaking back and forth before finally succumbing to death. Metal.
Should the Raging Echoes Death Animation, as described in the blog, be added to the Leagues Reward Store?
NPC Contact Animation
Summon up the masks of those you wish to have a word with this new NPC Contact Animation. As you filter through the many voices you can reach out to, masked faces will appear around you, swirling as you focus in on one, which then looms over you for you to make your request. Then, with a snap of your fingers, the mask shatters and fades away.
Should the Raging Echoes NPC Contact Animation, as described in the blog, be added to the Leagues Reward Store?
Raging Echoes Portal Room Portal and Portal Nexus Scrolls
Leagues are all about blazing a trail around Gielinor, so what better reward than a pair of new skins for your Portals and Portal Nexus?
We’ve incorporated the now-iconic Raging Echoes mask and ombre colour scheme in both designs, so your entire Portal Room can look like an eerie gateway through the fabric of space and time. The smaller Portal is topped with the mask surrounded by spikes, while the Portal Nexus is entirely framed by soulless, unseeing faces. Both cosmetics can be accessed via the same scroll, but it is one-use only. If you want to spruce up multiple portals, you’ll need a fresh scroll for each one.
Should the Raging Echoes Portal Room Portal and Portal Nexus Scroll, as described in the blog, be added to the Leagues Reward Store?
Raging Echoes POH Spirit Tree
This final reward comes courtesy of Maxwell_Lord and Cytofusion4504, who suggested this fantastic Raging Echoes-inspired Spirit Tree design on Reddit. We loved the way the gnarled face of the standard POH Spirit Tree has been transformed into that of the Raging Echoes mask, and the idea of breaking the trunk open and filling the space with blue flame for that eerie glow. Topped off with the blue-toned mushroom circle, we felt that this idea was perfectly in keeping with our other reward pitches, and we’re excited to bring this community creation to the game! Bear in mind this functions as the concept, and the design may change during development process so it best suits the game.
Should the Community-Designed Raging Echoes Spirit Tree, as described in the blog, be added to the Leagues Reward Store?
That’s all the rewards we’ve got planned for Leagues V: Raging Echoes! The best way for you to tell us what you think about these reward proposals is to complete the survey below! If you can’t view the survey, you can also fill it out by clicking here.
We hope the chilling themes haven’t left you too frightened to vote for them. If you do, you can look forward to earning them when the League begins in November!
You can also discuss this update on the 2007Scape subreddit, the Steam forums, or the community-led OSRS Discord in the #gameupdate channel. For more info on the above content, check out the official Old School Wiki.
