Barbarian Assault Collection Log Guide – OSRS

130px-Collection_log_detail.png

Collection log orders will ask for all items, often without knowing they can sell back the items for 80% of the purchase cost. This can come at huge savings for leeching so ensure you inform the client of the benefit.

• Check with customer which items they still require for the collection log, then check against the points needed below.
• Make sure they are willing to sell back the items, or if they want to keep specific ones, take those out of the order and do them separetely as usual.
• Use the price calculator tool and choose By Points Needed when providing the quote for the customer.
• Don’t forget to check if they completed the Kandarin Hard Diary!

All items (including torso): 590 points

Points needed for 1 torso, 1 skirt, 4 hats, 1 boots and 1 gloves: 590 per role. Deduct client’s existing points from 590 and provide them with the quote.
! Ensure you inform the client they MUST buy and subsequently sell the items in the following order: Torso -> Skirt -> Hat -> Hat -> Hat -> Hat -> Gloves -> Boots.
If they bought them in a different order, then they may not have sufficient points to buy all of the items and may need additional leeching.
! Most clients will want to keep the fighter torso after so make sure they are fully aware this quote involves them selling it as well! If they want to keep it, then you can leech them as usual for the torso (4 rounds) then check their leftover points and provide a quotation for the 515 pts needed per role.

All items (no torso): 515 points

Points needed for 1 skirt, 4 hats, 1 boots and 1 gloves: 515 per role. Deduct client’s existing points from 515 and provide them with the quote.
! Ensure you inform the client they MUST buy and subsequently sell the items in the following order: Skirt -> Hat -> Hat -> Hat -> Hat -> Gloves -> Boots.
If they bought them in a different order, then they may not have sufficient points to buy all of the items and may need additional leeching.

All items (torso sell + re-buy option): 420 points

It is possible to obtain all of the items (no torso) for less than 515 points, but it requires more explanation and potential confusion for the client. This method requires them to have the torso already purchased. The customer will sell the torso for 300pts, which combined with the 420 will provide them enough to buy 1 skirt, 4 hats, 1 boots and 1 gloves, and be left at the end with exactly 375 points to buy the torso back.

Deduct client’s existing points from 420 and provide them with the quote.
! Ensure you inform the client they MUST buy and subsequently sell the items in the following order:
Sell torso -> Buy Skirt -> Sell Skirt-> Buy Hat -> etc Hat -> Hat -> Hat -> Gloves -> Boots -> Buy Torso back.
If they sold and bought in a different order, then they may not have sufficient points to buy all of the items and may need additional leeching.

All items (no torso & skirt): 440 points

Points needed for 4 hats, 1 boots and 1 gloves: 440 per role. Deduct client’s existing points from 440 and provide them with the quote.
! Ensure you inform the client they MUST buy and subsequently sell the items in the following order: Hat -> Hat -> Hat -> Hat -> Gloves -> Boots.
If they bought them in a different order, then they may not have sufficient points to buy all of the items and may need additional leeching.

Just the hats.png

Just the hats: 440 points

Points needed for 4 hats: 440 per role. Deduct client’s existing points from 440 and provide them with the quote.
! Ensure you inform the client they MUST buy and subsequently sell the items in the following order: Hat -> Hat -> Hat -> Hat.
If they purchased another item, then they will not have sufficient points to buy all 4 hats and may need additional leeching.
! Even if the client may not require the boots or gloves, these are usually bought with the leftover points from the hats. Therefore, this order has the same price as the one above.

3 hats.png

3 Hats (of any type): 385 points

Points needed for 3 hats: 385 per role. Deduct client’s existing points from 385 and provide them with the quote.
! Ensure you inform the client they MUST buy and subsequently sell the items in the following order: Hat -> Hat -> Hat.
If they purchased another item, then they will not have sufficient points to buy all 3 hats and may need additional leeching.
! This is to be used when the customer only wants 3 hats for the collection log (which he will sell back) and already has one purchased. The boots and gloves may be bought with the leftover points if needed.

2 hats.png

2 Hats (of any type): 330 points

Points needed for 3 hats: 330 per role. Deduct client’s existing points from 330 and provide them with the quote.
! Ensure you inform the client they MUST buy and subsequently sell the items in the following order: Hat -> Hat.
If they purchased another item, then they will not have sufficient points to buy all 2 hats and may need additional leeching.
! This is to be used when the customer only wants 2 hats for the collection log (which he will sell back) and already has two purchased. The boots and gloves may be bought with the leftover points if needed.
1 Hat (of any type): why are you reading this, it’s just a normal Hat order.

• These are just some of the most common orders you may receive from customers. More custom ones may need a new calculation done for them.
• So how good are these options for the client? An order for All items, no torso, would require 1725 total points without selling back, while only 515 with selling back. At the current prices, this provides a reduction in leeching cost of 324M -> 99M (Regular) and 540M ->165M (Premium), from 18 rounds of BA to 5.5 (assuming no Kandarin Hard Diary).
• Thanks to Dren for suggesting the torso sell and subsequent re-buy strategy.
